“ The food was excellent! Plentiful and very tasty. The spices were spot on. The service was efficient and friendly. The owner even took time to explain some of the items I was trying. Greatly Enjoyed that. The location at Delta Shores and is on the smaller side but pleasant and quiet. Bathroom was very clean. Highly recommend this spot for a tasty and value added meal. ”
“ Honestly, this is a solid option for Indian food in the Sac area. We have tried quite a few Indian restaurants trying to find our go-to and it has been quite a difficult task. Let's start with what went well: This restaurant has delicious naan--it's chewy, soft, warm, with a little crisp to it. The curries were hot and arrived as described. I think if I could have a redo I would order the paneer tikka masala as my husband's chicken tikka nasal looked good and the curry sauce had a pleasant, , creamy flavor. I, however, ordered the aloo matar, a dish I have had before and liked but this one was kind of bitter and not as creamy as I remembered it being elsewhere. Curries came with generous portions of basmati rice...I would say one serving is more than enough for two people. I would give this place another try and order differently to see if this changes my perspective because the elements that were good were very good and promising! ”
“ I was on the hunt for BHEL PURI ever since I got back from London. It's a savory popular Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) street food made with crispy puffed rice tossed with peanuts, onions, tamarind chutney, and bunch of stuff. I found Chaat Bistro in Delta Shores have this dish on the menu and I was eager to try it. The worker had told me that everyone has a different variation of this dish and he was right. It wasn't the same. It was on the sweeter side and lacking the crunch. It was okay but not what I had in mind. I also ordered the GOBI PAKORA. It's fried cauliflower seasoned in chickpea batter. Yummy appetizer but on the spicy for me. The BUTTER CHICKEN served with rice or NAAN was my favorite. The mild tomato cream sauce infused with spices was my kind of spicy level. You can't go wrong ordering this dish. The LAMB BIRYANI is another staple. I'm not a big lamb person but my boys enjoyed it. You can also replace Lamb with Chicken, Shrimp, Vegetarian, etc. Overall a nice Indian spot. Service was quick. It's counter service. You order, pay and wait for your order. ”
“ Food: Yummy! Did feel like small portion, but enough to fill you up and not have leftover!! Service/Ambiance: Order first at the front, get your drink yourself, and they bring out the food to your table. Workers are usually in the back, but if you ring the bell someone would come out asap for you! ”
“ Chaat Bistro is a gem of a restaurant in the Delta Shores shopping center. Don't let the location fool you. They have the best Indian food I have found in town. Once we tried it we made it our go to when coming to Elk Grove. Try the Chicken Tikka plate for a sampling of some of their best flavors. ”
“ I stopped by Chaat Bistro while in the area for a Yelp experience, and I'm so glad that I took the time to check them out! Inside is very clean and staff were patient as my partner and I scanned their lengthy menu. We decided to order the vegetable samosa appetizer, tikka masala, chicken curry, and sides of rice and naan. Chaat Bistro is on the pricier side, and our meal was about $50; however, the amount of food helps justify the price. Their samosas were so good that I forgot to take a picture before digging in. Our curries were beautifully presented, and my partner and I were able to take home leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day. I ordered mine mild and still felt my sinuses cleared from the spices. Everything was flavorful, and I would definitely recommend Chaat Bistro if you're looking for a filling meal! ”
“ This place was a nice surprise. I had never had the fresh paani puri until I tried theirs. It was mouth watering delicious to say the least. Chole bhature was also fresh and quite amazing. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. ”
“ We've been here a few times now, and it's an absolute crime that they aren't bustling with customers. We've had various dishes, and everything is always made fresh and incredibly delicious! Our two favorite curies so far are the butter chicken and the vindaloo chicken, and we can't get enough of the batter-fried cauliflower (gobi pakora). Chaat also has some of the best naan we've had - slightly crispy and chewy without being too dense. Finally, it was recommended we try the mango lassi drink during our last visit. Neither me or my partner are big fans of mango, but we gave it a shot... it was so damn good! It's kinda like a sweet mango smoothie made with fruit and yogurt? All I know is it went really well with the meal, and helped a bit with the heat from the curry. I'm 2 for 2 in bringing people who "don't like indian food" and converting them, so give this place a shot if you're one of those people! The staff is super friendly and will help explain the menu if you need help figuring out your order. ”
“ Wonderful Indian food close to the movie theater. Our first time there, we over ordered as we saw so many dishes we wanted to try. Flavors were distinct! The cauliflower dish was amazing, as well as the deconstructed samosa dish and butter chicken. My bestie loved the fish pakora! Quick and great service by Dep. The ambiance had a fast food feel but the food itself felt thoughtfully prepared. I will definitely be back again. ”
